Documentaries

Our Philosophy

The essence of a documentary is capturing a story.  Stories are part of our everyday lives, and their weight spans generations: the history of a family-run business, memories recalled by a loved one, the vision of a non-profit organization.  In all stories, High Tone is committed to a philosophy of respect in filming and maintaining the dignity of the participants.

"I had always felt life first as a story--and if there is a story, there is a story teller."

The Evergreen Foundation is located near Louisville, Ky.  We had the privilege of getting to know a number of staff members and children during production of the documentary and several additional trips to Romania.  Check out their website below.

Cross-Cultural Opportunities

We have a combined 25 years of cross-cultural experiences and overseas travel.  Past trips involved staffing basketball camps, working with various construction projects and assisting in medical clinics.  We enjoy the opportunity to experience new people, cultures and the stories that unfold.  Our passion is sharing these stories and the lives of the people involved through the medium of audio and video.

Small Business

Small business videos are a great way to get your company and mission out to the world without the expense of broadcast TV time and the cost of a big budget video shoot.  These "mini-documentaries" or "promo videos" are priced within reach of most small business budgets and are for use on your website and/or popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Myspace.

Corporate and Product

High Tone Studios partners with companies in exploring unique and engaging ways to convey specific visions, products and/or services to an intended audience.  Recently we have enjoyed working closely with the company For Earth, for the release of some of their new product lines.
